The Consequences of Cyber Bullying
This was the case of 18-years-old, Brandy Vela, who had her whole life ahead of her.
Until tragically, on on November 29, 2016, a fatal shot fired from her own hand silenced her life forever.
As if her heartbreaking death isn’t bad enough…
It was witnessed by family members.
As reported by CBS, Brandy attempted to leave a suicide note of sorts through email.

But, thanks to our ever growing technology, her family received the letter before she could act. And, found her alive!
“We tried to persuade her to put the gun down, but she was determined,” her father recalls. “She said she’d come too far to turn back. It was very unfortunate that I had to see that. It’s hard when your daughter tells you to turn around. You feel helpless.”
Using an untraceable Smartphone App, her tormentors sent abusive, hate filled messages for months! Fake Facebook Pages were created by these faceless cowards. And, the horror followed her to Social Media.
Pressure from these invisible stalkers increased.
They created fake dating profiles across the dark web advertising her body for sale.
“They would make dating websites of her, and they would put her number and they would put her picture (on the sites), and lie about her age and say she is giving herself up for sex for free, to call her,” said her mother, Jacqueline Vela.
In a breath innocence was lost.
And, Cyber bullying claimed another beautiful life.
